Patched Together
by Brennan Manning

Have you ever felt the loneliness that overwhelms the soul—the longing to be loved and truly accepted? In this rich parable, a sad boy named Willie Juan finds belonging in the eyes of the mysterious Man of Sorrows.  But as Willie Juan grows into a man, he discovers great success in the world, and loses what matters most.

“In the end, only one thing remains—Abba’s love.”

More than a charming tale, Patched Together is the parable of a man broken and restored, a man who is healing even as he embraces the beauty of his scars. This is a story in which you will see yourself, see hope in darkness—and see the joyful Man of Sorrows who calls you home.

From the Back Cover
“Patched Together is a very special story to me. It is, in many ways, my story …”

These words begin this rich story from Brennan Manning, the beloved author of The Ragamuffin Gospel. Follow the character Willie Juan, a lonely boy who finds belonging in the eyes of the mysterious Man of Sorrows, through three distinct seasons of his life: morning, noon, and night. Each season is filled with memorable characters, significant wounds, and lingering questions.

More than a charming tale, Patched Together is a remarkable story in which readers will see themselves. Willie Juan and readers alike will be connected by the thread that ties all the patches together—the everlasting truth that in the end, only Abba’s love remains.

From much-loved author Brennan Manning, comes a book for those who long to believe in the God who sees beauty in imperfection.

such a vivid book. Its one I had to read a few times. Its neat the way he was able to take what he has taught in all his non-fiction works and put it it all into a story.
